I'm beginning to understand what all the fuss is about when one flies business class. Flying is just one aspect of the whole experience.
The other is the brand and style of hotel one stays in post flight.
Welcome to the business class of hotels. The next time I decide to fly business class long-haul to Sydney, I think I'm going to stay here for a few nights in a row. If there's one hotel that will help me get over jet lag it's this one. Having only stayed here for 1 night, I can honestly say, it wasn't long enough. But I made the most of my stay, enjoying as much of the facilities on offer as I could in such a small space of time.
I stayed in a King Deluxe suite with views of Hyde Park. Room only $276/night.
Tip: Join the Marriott Bonvoy club before you book as you'll more likely get an extended check out time of 12pm.
This bed is the type of bed that makes you want to sleep. It's one of the most comfortable I've slept in, in any of the hotels I've stayed in.
This bathroom was exquisite, with everything one needs for the business traveller including a spare toothbrush should the need arise.
This rooftop pool is ideal for all weather stays. It's heated and enclosed, something that is actually quite rare in Sydney as most hotel pools are open air due to the (mostly) warm climate.
Stunning views of Hyde Park, St Mary's Cathedral and Sydney Harbour
Heated to a minimum tempearture of 40C.
Probably one of the biggest hotel gyms I've ever encountered with a wide variety of machines and weights.
